3 Ingredient Vegan Gluten free Caramel Sauce

This is probably the best vegan caramel sauce recipe you’ll get your hands on. 

It is literally liquid gold. It doesn’t turn rock solid after 2 seconds of making it and it is just so smooth. Pour it on ice cream, put it on top of a cream tart and swirl it around. This vegan caramel is like the cherry on top of any dessert.

No need to worry about sugar crystallizing on the sides of your pan or letting your sugar golden on its own before progressing. You just need to put all the ingredients in a pan and 5 minutes of your time.

Plant based double cream – This is what will help thicken the caramel

Vegan butter – Adds smoothness to the caramel and helps create that lovely golden colour.

Caster sugar – Vital in adding the sweetness

How to make vegan caramel sauce

This 5-minute dairy-free caramel sauce is SO easy to make.

Simply mix all the ingredients in a medium saucepan on a medium heat, stirring until bubbling and thickened!

Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly before serving.

You can keep the sauce refrigerated for up to a week. 

It will “set” when it’s cooled so you will probably need to reheat it gently, for it to regain a pourable consistency.

  • 30 g Vegan butter
  • 200 ml Plant based double cream
  • 100 g Caster sugar

Instructions

  • Transfer all ingredients into a pan and stir on medium heat for 5 mins until the sauce begins to bubble slightly and thicken

  1. This is the most simple caramel sauce recipe! Amazing! My old caramel recipe took much more time and lots of worrying about the sugar crystallizing. What a great allergy- friendly recipe to add to our mix!
