Expert Baking Tips on how to make this easy pancakes no egg recipe
Although these vegan cinnamon roll pancakes are super simple to make, here are just a few expert tips I'd recommend:
- Make sure your dry ingredients are fully mixed in before pouring in the wet ingredients to prevent any lumps from forming.
- Transfer the cinnamon butter mixture into a ziplock bag or piping bag and snipping off the end to create a small whole to pipe a swirl onto the batter.
- Make sure to pipe the swirl on top of the batter quickly to prevent the batter underneath from cooking before piping the swirl on top as it may not stay on the pancake if it not still runny.

Ingredients for the best vegan cinnamon roll pancakes

Here's everything I used to make these eggless cinnamon roll pancakes
Vegan butter- You can use either vegan block butter or margarine or oil to grease your pan to prevent your pancakes from sicking.
Plant-based milk - This can be oat, soya or almond milk
Brown sugar - I fund light brown sugar works best for making the cinnamon swirl, but if you don't have any refined brown sugar will work well here.
Plain flour - If you're not following a gluten free diet you may use normal plain flour instead
Bananas - This is our egg substitute. NOTE if you're worried about these pancakes having a strong banana flavor, make sure to use a non ripe banana in the batter or use 2 tablespoon of applesauce instead.
Cinnamon - Ground cinnamon will be used for the cinnamon swirl.
Pancakes recipe for one - Step by step instructions
- Begin by simply mixing together all your dry ingredients in a bowl. Once combined, create a dip/well to pour the wet ingredients into. As this will help prevent any lumps from forming.
- In a separate bowl, cream together your dairy-free spread, light brown sugar and cinnamon until smooth and transfer to a piping bag.
- Prepare your pan by greasing it with oil or teaspoon of plant-based butter, then pour a ladle full of batter into your pan. Then snip the end of your piping bag off to create a small opening and pipe a swirl directly onto of the batter.

- Your pancakes are ready to flip when the batter on top is no longer runny with only small patches of raw batter. You may also see the sides of the pancake begin to brown.
- Cook for a further minute on the other side then transfer to a plate and repeat the process until all the batter has been cooked.
- Finally, serve with some pecans and your desired amount of maple syrup. Enjoy!
Flavour Variations and Mixins for cinnamon rolls recipe vegan
If you'd prefer to make these pancakes slightly more adventurous and juicy. Instead of piping on the cinnamon swirl, fold in some blueberries! These can be fresh or frozen. Check out my post here on exactly how I made it.
For a less adventurous, plain pancake, simply remove any additions to the batter - following the same cinnamon roll pancakes recipe. Just without making the cinnamon butter. And with your plain pancakes you can add whatever topping and syrups you fancy.

From honey, chocolate or strawberry syrups. And toppings like fresh fruit, nuts or some chocolate chips!
Because the best thing about pancakes is how customisable they are! You can really add whatever you like to them, to make them either a nutritious breakfast or indulgent dessert.
Let me know in the comments if you try these variations or if you came up with your own!
